Conflicting information can result from an error, a stale listing, a different reporting period or intentional misrepresentation. Your first task is to locate the disagreement precisely. A careful record lets you request a correction without jumping to an accusation. If the conflict concerns authority, credentials or a suspicious payment demand, pause the conversation while you assess the immediate implications.

Name the exact disagreement

Quote or summarize the two statements and record where each appeared. For example, a public follower count checked today may differ from a listing captured months earlier. Two revenue figures may cover different periods or currencies. Those are questions to clarify before concluding that one is false. Keep the account identifier, evidence dates and metric labels visible in your notes. A focused comparison helps the seller respond usefully and avoids escalating a vague feeling into a broad allegation that the available facts cannot support.

Request a narrow clarification

Ask one clear question about the conflict and specify what relevant evidence would answer it. If the issue is Page authority, a new engagement screenshot will not resolve it. If the issue is a reporting period, requesting personal identity documents is disproportionate. Give the seller an opportunity to correct a simple mistake, and record whether the correction explains the original discrepancy. Never request passwords or recovery codes as proof. A credible explanation should connect the disputed facts; repeating a general assurance about trustworthiness does not fill the evidence gap.

Separate errors from unresolved risk

A corrected typo and a disputed business relationship have different practical consequences. Classify the issue according to what it affects: audience fit, asking-price reasoning, rights, operational continuity or safety. Do not let a minor correction conceal a material unresolved question. Conversely, avoid treating every stale metric as evidence of deliberate deception. If the seller explanation changes repeatedly, preserve the sequence and identify which claim is current. Your decision can remain cautious without declaring intent. It may be sufficient to say that the available record is too inconsistent to support a reliable assessment.

Pause requests that increase exposure

If clarification turns into pressure to send money, enter credentials, install software or bypass legitimate stakeholders, stop those actions. Independently verify any claimed support or protection process. SocialBay does not currently provide an active checkout or escrow service, so a chat message promising to activate one should not be treated as an expected product step. Do not attempt to seize access to resolve an ownership disagreement. If you already disclosed sensitive information, use the official platform security guidance promptly and keep the response separate from continued negotiation. A dispute should not expand your exposure unnecessarily.

Report observations with supporting context

Use the appropriate available reporting channel and provide the listing reference, dates, relevant messages and a concise explanation of the unresolved conflict. Redact unrelated private information and preserve originals securely if needed. Reports should describe observed conduct rather than speculate about personal motives. If money or account access is affected, contact the relevant official provider and local authority as appropriate; FTC guidance is a United States resource, not a universal jurisdictional process. A report may support review and documentation, but it does not guarantee restoration, reimbursement or a particular moderation outcome. Choose another listing when the evidence cannot support your decision.
