Preparing a useful evidence pack for a seller listing

A compact evidence index makes claims easier to understand and update.

An evidence pack should let a reader trace a claim to its source and date. More screenshots do not necessarily make a stronger pack. Begin with the questions a careful reader needs answered, then select the smallest set of relevant material that describes the profile and the proposed scope.

Create an index before gathering images

List each claim, the supporting source, reporting period, capture date and any limitation. Group public observations separately from private aggregate analytics and seller-prepared calculations. In a hypothetical pack, the follower count may come from a dated public profile, recent distribution from platform analytics and production costs from a redacted expense summary. Keep unknowns visible. An index prevents a reader from confusing those evidence types and helps you identify unsupported statements before they enter the listing. It also makes future updates manageable when one number or reporting period changes.

Make profile identity easy to reconcile

Include the public URL and the identifier needed to connect evidence to that profile. Keep metric titles and date windows visible. A number cropped away from its account context creates avoidable questions. Hypothetically, three screenshots from different months should each state when they were captured rather than appearing as one current snapshot. Explain significant handle or topic changes in a brief timeline. Evidence of management access does not automatically establish authority over associated assets, so describe your actual role accurately and avoid labeling the pack an ownership certification.

Use a balanced performance sample

Show ordinary periods and weaker results as well as noteworthy outcomes. Declare the sample window and explain exclusions such as a competition or paid campaign. For a hypothetical 30-day record, include posting frequency and the campaign support responsible for large results. Pair calculations with their formulas so someone can reproduce them. Do not fill missing analytics with estimates that look exact. A short, consistent history with clear limitations often provides more useful context than many disconnected images chosen because each contains a large number.

Document the scope and the unresolved parts

Prepare an itemized account of any separately proposed content files, brand materials or other assets and the rights you can support. Identify third-party licenses and relationships that need further review. If income is relevant, label its source, period, currency and cost basis. Record known restrictions and active disputes without claiming future outcomes. Instagram's terms prohibit account buying and selling; a polished evidence pack does not grant platform permission. Review the actual proposed arrangement and describe only what you have authority to offer through a permissible process.

Keep the pack secure and current

Create a shareable redacted version and retain original records privately in an appropriate secure location. Remove login information, private contacts and unrelated customer data. Never include passwords, recovery codes or session tokens. Give the pack a preparation date and note which claims need refreshing before a serious discussion. Hypothetically, if a campaign ends or a content permission expires, update both the pack and the listing rather than assuming the old evidence remains adequate. A concise change log helps readers see what changed and keeps the discussion anchored in current information.
